Marsalis on Music: TACKLING THE MONSTER (aka "how to practice"

This is a great resource that I used to use in my classroom in Yellowknife to teach my students about practicing. Wynton Marsalis is one of the best all round trumpet players pretty much ever. He made a name for himself being able to seamlessly transition from classical play to jazz playing. More recently, he is known for his compositional prowess and also directing the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra in New York City! This video segment is from a series he did several years ago called "Marsalis On Music" that came with an accompanying book. He is joined in this episode by world renowned classical cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
