As the guitarist and primary songwriter of 90's band EMF, guitarist Ian Dench played a HUGE part in constructing the group's biggest hit: "UNBELIEVABLE". The song itself, ended up climbing the charts all the way to number one on Billboard's Hot On Hundred in the USA with the video also getting EXTENSIVE airplay. As a matter of fact, for a while, you couldn't turn on the TV or the radio without hearing it!

EMF experienced unprecedented success during this period of time but in 1997 ended up breaking up for the first time (they got back together later and are still going strong today). In the meantime, Ian formed a band called Whistler that failed to reach the same level as EMF. Eventually, Ian started to write songs commercially with a career highlight being the Beyonce/Shakira duet "Beautiful Liar" which, as Ian will explain, was a co-write with a few different people.
